The Adani Foundation, the community engagement arm of the Adani Group, has successfully completed a nationwide blood donation drive and collected a massive 20,621 units of blood. The Adani Group held a drive in over 250 sites across 22 states in India to celebrate Sh. Gautam Adani’s 61st birthday on June 24. The drive marked the inaugural ‘Adani Day’, an annual event.
The Adani Healthcare team organized a voluntary blood donation drive, with over 3,000 staff members collecting 20,621 units of blood this year, equivalent to 8,200 litres. The collection is expected to save over 61,000 lives. The drive, partnering with Red Cross and government hospitals, provides essential blood components like whole blood, PCV, platelet concentrates, plasma, FFP, cryoprecipitate, and albumin.
The Adani Foundation aims to enhance healthcare services and improve patient well-being. Adani Foundation initiated blood donation camps on chairman’s birthday in 2011, collecting 89,779 units, focusing on social development and community sustainability. Dr. Priti Adani, Chairperson of the Adani Foundation, expressed her gratitude and said, “Their dedication towards this blood donation drive, year after year, not only demonstrates their compassion but also reinforces our collective commitment to serve the nation.”
