India recorded over 4,000 new coronavirus infections in a single day, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Friday. After 84 days, the number of Covid-19 cases reached 4,31,68,585, while active cases rose to 21,177.
According to the report, a total of 4,041 new cases were recorded in the span of 24 hours and the death toll reached 5,24,651 with 10 new deaths. Active cases comprised 0.05 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.74 percent.
An increase of 1,668 cases of active COVID-19 was recorded.
