A new Assamese film ‘Rajneeti Part-1’ will hit the theatres on December 23 with the story of a chief minister

Two childhood friends, inseparable. Time took them on two different paths. One rose to the Chief Minister of the state and the other the editor-in-chief of a news channel. Time has passed. Incidentally, the journalist friend requested an interview with the Chief Minister for his channel. This formal meeting between the two friends took a new turn. The past and present of the two friends began to unfold. Two of the channel’s junior journalists also got into the cacophony of journalism and politics. Meanwhile, the interview revealed many unexplored facts about the Chief Minister.

We will have to wait till December 23 to know what it is. A new Assamese film ‘Rajneeti Part-1’ will hit the theatres on December 23 with the story of a chief minister. Directed by Manujit Sharma under the banner of Nexster Studios, the 124-minute ‘Political Thriller’ is produced by Ashim Nath and Bikash Saha. Tapan Das plays one of the central characters. The film also stars Zubin Garg and Barasharani Bishoya in two pivotal roles. The story picks up pace through the characters of electronic media journalists Zubin and Barasha and reveals many dark chapters of a chief minister. The other two central characters are played by Sanjib Sharma and Siddharth Sharma of ‘KK’ fame.  After a long time, Geetawali Rajkumari and Rajeev Goswami will be seen in two special roles through ‘Rajneeti Part-1’.

This is for the first time that a realistic ‘narrative’ will be found in the story of Abhijit Bhattacharya setting aside the conventionality.  The script of the film is also written by Abhijit Bhattacharya.  Pradeep Daimary is the DOP of the film. The music is done by Paran Borkotoky. The lyrics have been penned by Tarali Sharma, Ajay Phukan, Abhijit Bhattacharya and Rahul Gautam Sharma. The music is composed by Jayant Kakati, Tarali Sharma and Ajay Phukan. The film has been edited by Manujit Sharma, Ramen Bora and Anendra Prasad Sharma at Nexster Studios.
