News of a Police inspector was circulated over sexually assaulting and taking objectionable pictures of a minor girl inside the police station. The complaint was registered by the minor girl herself at Ghograpar Police Station in Nalbari.
According to the reports, the police inspector was dismissed from the services for violating norms during the service inside the police station.
“Being convinced of the instant case being rarest or rare, and as the Director General of Police and Head of Police Force of Assam, and in accordance with extant law & rules, I have decided to dismiss Inspector (UB) Biman Roy from Assam Police,” DGP GP Singh said in a Tweet.
