In Kamrup district, 16-years old girl went missing, the family filed a complaint regarding the missing in the police station. Soon after the investigation the girl’s body was found in the Digaru River at Sonapur.
According to the reports, Police arrested a man connected to the incident. The man confessed about the crime saying he raped, murdered and then the body was thrown into the river.
“On June 26, my younger sister went to the market to bring fish. Since then, she didn’t return home. We have filed a missing complaint at Sonapur police station. We don’t know what exactly happened to her. Her body was later found in Digaru River,” said the victim’s elder sister.
