As many as 9 inmates of Nagpur Central Jail have tested positive for Covid, an official of the municipal corporation’s health department confirmed.
In view of the rising number of infections, 12 inmates underwent Covid-19 tests 4 days ago. 4 of the samples came positive. Subsequently, contact tracing with the corrupt was initiated by prison authorities.
On Friday, 5 more inmates tested positive for Covid-19, taking the number to 9. According to the information, the inmates have mild symptoms and have been isolated.
