Four persons have been accused of beating up six members of the same family and robbing them of gold ornaments and mobile phones for protesting against the sale of liquor. The incident took place in the South Rampur area of Tufanganj’s 2nd block. The incident has created a stir in the entire area.
It’s come to know, a few days ago, the family protested against who was selling liquor in the area. And the family quarreled with the liquor sellers. Last night, four accused youths attacked the house in a drunken state along with several others. and allegedly beat up family members. In view of this incident, a written complaint was filed by the family at the Buxirhat police station.
